Sometimes the job as a photographer takes me to fun places and photo jobs all over the world.
The funny thing is that this task is something COMPLETELY different from what I usually take pictures of ???? and those who know me know that I am not shy of a challenge and of trying something completely new and seeing where it takes me.
As you know, I am usually behind the camera on tasks such as fashion, beauty, press photos, etc. but I was booked to take pictures of nice apartments in France/Switzerland !! Wow for so-and-so! Me and my assistant were flown to a great foreign country!
It shouldn't be ANY secret that the photographer here is a LITTLE afraid of heights, so when it came out that we had to be driven by narrow mountain roads to the TOP of the mountain where Avoriaz is, I was SOMETHING pale at the thought... phew....
We arrived at the airport…. our luggage is GONE!! - We stand in line for 25 minutes in a slow customer service only to find out… I dare not say it…. That we have stood at the wrong luggage belt!! SO here we go…. We get our hands on our luggage and outside our host Inger Munk is waiting with a driver and a minibus – now 3 days await in high air layers on top of a mountain….
wow wow…. But FIRST: It's raining SO much that the roads up the mountain are closed.... so we have to drive off PATHS where meltwater and rainwater run across and drag the roads down the mountainside. My worst worst nightmare of a drive!!
WE GOT AHEAD!! And WOW that is beautiful! We got some super nice pictures taken and below I will show you some of the best of them.
At least I got to look some height demons straight in the eye!
XOXO
